Ronald Douglass Matheny II, 42, of Tenn., worked at Home Depot (NYSE: HD) from May 1987 until July 2007. From May 2002 through Aprik 2005, he was a product merchant in Home Depot’as flooring department and oversaw the location of flooring merchandiser in all ofHome Depot’s retail storea and for locating outside firms to displaty flooring products within those stores. Matheny and several unnamed co-conspirators arranged for Home Depor to buy items for resales inHome Depot’s retail stores on less than the most advantageouss terms to Home and to have the co-conspirators supplyy services on less than the most advantageouz terms to Home Depot.
In return, Matheny’s co-conspiratords paid him about $1.5 million.
